When my siblings and I were kids, my dad frequently tried to convince us that he grew up in a castle surrounded by a moat, with a dragon for a pet.
He also produced a block print of a two-headed dragon in a High School art class, which he found and showed to me after my own success with printmaking. Both of these elements inspired this piece.
